Assalamualaikum..
Yeah, who said I am no good in cooking? aha Last night was totally wicked! heh So Yeterday, me, Amin, Umi, Mek (grandma), Aki and Nana (cousins) went for shopping around Kota Bharu. Last minute shopping hehe

So we went to bank first, in the car Aki made jokes about the ladies that crossed by. He is so funny and very OUTSPOKEN. heh he’s 12 next year, i mean another 2 days.. hurm.. Then after that, went to Canggih and went to everywhere i forgot, then ended up at Bata to buy shoes. Then reached home around 6.30pm after dropped my grandma and cousins at my grandma’s house.

TIRED thats the word. So on the way back home, I asked Umi about the usual topic at that hour, “male ni nok make gapo?” she replied with “tok tahu eh letih nok masok” then Amin go “biar Amin gi beli lah” then I go “no. Bia kakchik masok”. COMPLETELY RANDOM. They agreed and i murmured “watdefish?”

So i asked them “nok make gapo? hok sene2 sudoh la deh..” then i gave my angel face heh. Umi said “kalu nok sene gak lauk kicak lah” and i go “bereh!”. So i asked Umi what are the ingrediants and she said this is the simplest way of doing the meal;
- 3 slice of garlics
- 1 onion
- Green Chilli
- Kecap Manis
- Tomato Sauce
- Chilli Sauce
- Water
- Salts
- Sugar

Looks easy and i’ve seen Kak did this and Umi but she said this is the simplest way so whatever. heh So “Welcome to Effi and Amin cooking show!” He helped me and we are a good team. lol So we sliced the garlic, onion and green chilli. Then we put them all together inside the wok and tumis them. Before we do the tumis we fried the fished first. Me and Amin wanted the chicken but Umi said fish so we just followed her then.

And we followed the sequence and reached the climax of the cooking part. We poured TOO MUCH water and the Kecap Manis already finished. Me and Amin were laughing cuz we are totally shocked! Like it was not even a mistake. With my quick thinking, i remember about the SECRET INGREDIANT. Always do the works of saving every meal that i cooked before.

Yeah i do cook la but for me only la. Fried rice, omelette and all the kampung meal. I never cooked to anyone else but me before so this is the first time. So i took the secret ingrediant and added into the wok. Then we tasted it. The colour already turned to something more like tomyam but a bit darker. Its not Lauk Kicap anymore. Me and Amin are still laughing and said “make je lah..”

First try, the taste was awefull. Then i added the secret ingrediant again the taste is getting better but still it needs more so i added the secret ingrediant for the third time and this time it was perfect! The kuah no longer cair and the taste was superb. Its not Lauk Kicap anymore its our own recipe. hehe But then i thought that it needed more salts so i added a lil salts and my brother said its getting salty and i said no its not. We looked at each other and ignored it.

After tha, we put the fried fishes into te wok and mixed them well. When i saw the meal, looked very very not interesting. Something is missing. So i asked Amin to take out the vegetables from the refrigerator. I tried to look for carrot but cant found it. I dowan to ask Umi about it. heh Added tha hard vegies first and tured off the fire and poured them into a bowl. After that i put the soft vegies the leaf one.

WALLAH! It looked just like any other restaurant meal. Me and Amin are very proud and serve the table with plates, water, rice and all. Amin cooked the rice and he said the rice lembik maybe he put too much water in it. Lol whatever stomach already gave the signs and leave only Umi to taste it.
“UMMM sedak nyoh.. buleh la nih cumo masin sikit”.
Amin gaves the glare and i just gave him a tounge. lol I asked Umi how many stars she said three stars. What? haha she said if not because its a lil salty and the rice is lembik it will be better. She said
“Oklah mulo2 stak ok doh panda pung masok”
ahah then we’re eat! After finished, Amin came out with the SECRET INGREDIANT that we’re added three times. In a second Umi said,
“bubuh tigo kali lebih doh tu overdos”
Then we told her everything about we poured the water too much and the colour turned to something else. We highlight about the TOO MUCH water part because its all started after that incident. She said, if too much water then let it evaporate lah. I am so dumb not thinking about that.

The meal finished. All the eight small fishes are finished. Umi ate 2 fishes. Well, it must be that good. lol. ahah THE FEELING WAS GREAT andunfortunately, my sister cannot taste it because she’s already at Kuala Lumpur now cu she need to register at Putrajaya so Umi called her and tell her about us, her annoying and stubborn siblings.

That is i think. It was great and we all slept early that night because TOO FULL i guess. hehe. And that is the story about me an Amin cooking.. The End. :)
